Hello Friends!
Its been a month since we officially renamed our business from Modern Weddings to Farm on 212th. And we definitely did not expect all the work that came with it! (getting new emails, updating permits, bank account changes, website changes- its been a lot of work.) But we are finally, finally getting to the website part of it!
Sometime between moving to our 5 acre, 1960's farm house and now, we have slowly started to realize that full service wedding work wasn't for us. And "modern" hardly described our style (hello, we live on a farm and our most popular rentals are our farm tables!) We knew for a while now that our original business name had to go. We discussed it and thought about it for months but ultimately we decided on one of the first names that I jotted down in a long forgotten notepad on my phone- Farm on 212th! The more we thought about it, the more we warmed up to it and now I don't think we could have picked a more suitable name as a replacement.
My vision for this business (along with rentals and florals) is for me to share parts of our daily farm life. Things that interest me, that hopefully will interest you as well! Our animals, veggie garden, flower gardens and our journey with cut flowers, easy recipes, home remodels and all the DIYs we do. When we moved here at the end of 2019, both my husband and I didn't know what to expect from this new farm life. We are not experienced farmers by any means, but this new part of our lives has been so much fun, and we want to take you along! We have so many new projects coming up. Pond resurfacing, building our first greenhouse, and plans for a studio/flower shop in the works. Our biggest project of all is still under wraps, but if everything goes good with permitting we will start sharing that as well!
Now that we are not booking full service weddings any longer, we have decided to sell off a portion of our inventory. This upcoming week- from 7/19 to 7/23 - we will be holding an Inventory Sale on our property. I will be posting photos of some of the for sale items on Instagram stories shortly.
